Christmas Accordion Card

Today's the day for posting my design team card for Stamping Sensations. Since we are all busy beavering away on our Christmas cards, we thought we'd have a nice, easy theme this month so everyone can join in, and that theme is of course... Christmas! My offering is an accordion card, and I hope you'll come back and visit me again on Tuesday when I'll be sharing a full pictorial tutorial on making this card using the Sizzix Vintage Cabinet die.

"Inside Panels"

I love making cards that have plenty of panels in them. There's loads of room to extend a theme. Here, I've used a number of vintage images of Father Christmas from Tim Holtz' Seasonal Paper Stash on a background decorated with lots of inking, stamping and Perfect Pearls.

"Close-up of panel"

There are some little tickets inserted behind the images so that I can put secret messages in this card. The wooden embellishments were free with a magazine last year and I have decorated them by sponging with a little distress ink.

"The other side"

The other side of this card has more Santa images with some diecuts.

"Front of card"

Finally, here's what the card looks like from the front. There are ties on both sides to keep it closed. Please join in with our challenge at Stamping Sensations, and you'll have a chance to win a super prize from "Stamp Addicts". Also, I hope you'll join me on Tuesday for this week's "Tuesday Technique" which is a tutorial on how to make this card.  Ciao!

Entered for the following challenge:
Allsorts - Christmas Cheer
Sweet Stampin' - Time for a shaped card
The Artistic Stamper - Chrtistmas
Tokbobok - Christmas

  5. So glad I waited for Sunday's reveal, Maddy, what a beautiful Christmas Creation (card is too small a word for this wonder). I'm sure it was a pleasure to make and will provide super inspiration over on the challenge.
