...midnight train to Georgia... whoo whoo...

"... I'd rather be in his world, than live without him in mine!" I just love that Gladys Knight and the Pips track don't you? I thought it was a good soundtrack to have running in my head while I blogged this card - it was my husband Tom's birthday card this year, and yes he's into trains!

"Choo choo"

It's hard to find good images of trains, so the Graphic 45 12" x 12" sheet was a godsend. I cut up various images and matted and layered them onto red card, then made a stamped background using the map from a Tim Holtz stamp set stamped onto card colored with distress inks.

"map"

This "map" label was also cut from the sheet, together with the "Grand Central Station" entrance at the top of the card. The train was shaped by hand and stuck to the background with Pinflair to give some dimension. I love the way it seems to be coming out of the card at you!

Ingredients:
Graphic 45 12"x12" paper "All Aboard"
Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz cling stamp set "Air Travel"
Cardstock: red, white
Distress inks: Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Barn Door
Pinflair dimensional glue
